Everyone thinks about the meaning and purpose of life from time to time. Especially as we get older. What does life mean to me? Do I still find it worthwhile? Or does it no longer have to be? Would you like to exchange thoughts with others about these kinds of life questions? Let us know! We want to form discussion groups in which 8 to 10 residents can exchange thoughts together about these life questions.
The discussion groups are guided by a trained volunteer from the Center Encounter in Life Questions (COiL) in Nijmegen.
Life questions often surface with aging. Then we often face ailments that negatively affect the quality of life. Or as the end of life approaches. But also in other difficult periods of life, such as the loss of loved ones, dealing with serious illnesses within family or relatives, etc., questions of meaning often surface.
Everyone has their own life questions and would like to talk to someone else about them. Added to that: many struggle with the same questions. As Anke de Coole, a volunteer at the Center for Encountering Life Questions (COiL), puts it, “everyone's wish is that his or her story matters.”
