Piep de muis is a preventive program for children between the ages of 4.5 and 8 who experience a lot of tension or stress at home. For example, because parents have psychological or addiction problems (KOPP/KOV), or because parents are going through a complex divorce, or there are other concerns in the family. During the club the children see that they are not alone and learn to talk about emotions, seek support from each other and be proud of yourself.
Research shows that children with a lot of stress and tension at home are at an increased risk of developing problems themselves. This is why the use of this training is so important. With the training we try to achieve several goals.
What do you learn?
At the club, Piep (a hand puppet) talks about what happens at his house.
The children then get to work with him to find a solution to all kinds of situations, which teaches the children how to deal with feelings and emotions in a playful way.
Examples of goals include children developing more self-confidence, experiencing that it is okay to talk about the home situation, learning to express emotions and learning that they can always seek support from other adults.
In addition, parents also work on several goals that will help them cope better with the home situation and experience that they are not the only ones with a difficult home situation.
starts Monday, Jan. 26, from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m.
