The Respite is a lodging facility that you can use to recharge or catch your breath for the duration of a few days to a maximum of two weeks. Because the Respite is linked to the Practice House, there is a short line of support. During your stay in the Respite, we ask you to make use of the offerings in the Practice House, including drop-in sessions and conversations with experts by experience. In addition, you can just go to appointments outside, such as (volunteer) work, school, or other activities.
The stay at the Respite may also be an addition to an ongoing treatment program. It is important that you are self-reliant in order to use the Respite. This is because you will stay independently in the Respite and outside of Practice House opening hours you will stay in the building alone or with other respite guests. It is necessary that you have a residential address, if you do not have a residential address a stay in the Respite is unfortunately not possible.
We have respite facilities in the following regions:
When you want to use the Respite, an intake interview will be scheduled after your registration. We ask you to bring someone from your network to the intake. We will discuss your wishes and the possibilities of Ixta Noa and see if the Respite is a suitable option. If it is decided to plan a stay, your goals and the duration of the stay will be determined together.
If you have questions or would like more information about Respite, please contact one of the staff or volunteers at the Practice House.
