Well-trained volunteer neighborhood mediators try to get quarreling individuals to talk to each other again. Neighborhood mediators help with this conversation. They do not pass judgment. Volunteer neighborhood mediators try to get neighbors to talk to each other again. To do this, mediators first visit the neighbor/claimant to get acquainted. Then the neighborhood mediators visit the neighbor to hear their side of the story.
If both neighbors are willing to mediate, you will hold a mediation meeting together at a place in the neighborhood. The neighborhood mediators, who are of course bound by confidentiality, try to ensure that the parties find a solution themselves.
